The Statement

In an analog assault on our digital age, my practice is driven by the human hand, the energy of my touch.

I deal in labor-intensive techniques that move between fiber art and experimental design. With a painterly gesture, I felt wool, batik silk and forge metal, inviting viewers to engage with personal questions of perception & so-called reality. As a former ballerina, I use a natural balance of asymmetry and irregularity to create an impression of perpetual movement. Wild and poetic, the resulting works offer a surreal look at the world around us – a nod to the life force in all beings and all things – and a tactile experience that takes you on a journey of the senses.
