Komorebi: Japanese for “sunlight leaking through the trees”

Komorebi I

(2024) Inspired by rays of light dappling through overhead leaves, casting dancing shadows on the forest floor, this chandelier was created as part of Andrea’s SVA summer art residency in NYC. Using shadow play, these works attempt to bring the sensation of the outdoors inside & to freeze a moment in time, forever.
